Force, Robins AFB, Warner-Robins, Georgia:
My first assignment with the Air Force after training was a
Robins as a Computer Systems Operator. My unit there, the 53rd
Combat Communications Squadron, was largely a mobile unit. I
worked on many different military systems including UGC-129
and UGC-144, 27 VAN, and Quick Reaction Package. Most of my
time there was spent in the field during exercises or in the
Desert support Operation Vigilant Warrior as a teletype operator
sending classified messages for the mission.
